Ayana is a special little girl, a cheerful and lively child who loves to sing and play. Until the age of 2, she seemed to be a child like any other, a little more demanding and energetic.
She recognized all the animals, colors, geometric shapes and numbers to 10, but she did not respond to her name and had no eye contact. This was a first alarm call for her parents. The diagnosis she received at the age of 3 was not exactly a surprise to her parents.
But Ayana’s parents did not give up, many hours of ABA therapy followed, and the results began to be more and more visible.
She does not miss any therapy session at the “Sunshine” Association of Iernut, where together with the therapists Sanda and Lorena she works and fights with great determination.
After years of therapy, Ayana is better, she is more present, communicative, responds to her name, recognizes family members and is much more peaceful.
Now Ayana has started school, she has been very well received by the teacher and her colleagues who love her very much.
“We continue our work and struggle and we are very grateful to all who are with us. We go ahead and hope it will be okay, FOR AYANA.” (Ayana’s mother)
